Venice Township Fire Department
Venice Twp Fire Dept proudly serves the residents of Venice Twp and the Village of Lennon. It covers 36 sq miles and also borders Genesee County. It was organized in 1947 after a devastating fire that occurred in Lennon.
Since the organization it has had 5 fire chiefs:

- Don Weller
- Dexter Bowden
- Bill Baker
- David Ballard Jr.
- Current chief Brad Axtell
It consists of 25 firefighters and 1 radio operator. Venice Twp is serviced by:
2 Engines
1 Rescue Unit
1 Tanker
1 squad
and 1 Grass Rig received from the Michigan DNR.
